ABOUT THE CLUB

The American Club of Madrid (ACM) is the “go-to” organization for English-speaking professionals living in Madrid. Being an active member of the CM is a great way to network and make new friends while celebrating the American culture.

WHO ARE WE?

The American Club of Madrid has been present in Madrid since 1952, when it was legally established as a non-political, non-profit association of individuals, corporations and other legal entities. The ACM is led by a dynamic and energetic group of officers, directors, and advisers who volunteer their time and effort to make it possible.

The membership is diverse, consisting of individuals, families and corporations, and is currently comprised of 40% American, 40% Spanish, 10% dual and 10% other nationalities.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We organize events in exclusive venues so that you may network and make effective connections within the English-speaking community in Madrid. We aim to help you grow your business by expanding your contact network and, as a bonus, hopefully make new friends.

WHAT DO WE PROVIDE?

The ACM holds a variety of monthly events in first-class venues, exclusive gatherings and certain “Members Only” events. Some of these include Tuesday Happy Hours, Presidents’ Breakfasts, Business Lunches, Business Referral Groups, Traditional American Holiday Celebrations, Spring Charity Galas.

Our events are designed to give you the opportunity to meet outgoing people and professionals, to network, to grow your business and social contacts, and to LEARN from the pros!

Our Corporate members are multinational corporations, local small businesses, sole proprietors, educators, service providers and professionals from all sectors. Our corporate members enjoy unique access to the ACM market benefiting both their business and our club.

The main language used in all our events is American English, but we love all accents and nationalities are welcome!

WHAT DEFINES US?

Our mission is to engage the American population of Madrid, as well as the local Spanish and international community, through events and activities, with the aim of fostering a strong relationship and understanding between the United States and Spain and enabling the growth of our Member’s contact network.

WHAT’S THE REST OF THE STORY?

We are constantly striving to improve our club, we have some exciting new projects in store ( Women’s Network, Mentoring Program, Member to Member Discounts, Job Listings) and we always welcome new ideas. But, most of all, we want you to meet us, engage with us, join us…become a Member of our close-knit community, come and see for yourself what the ACM can do FOR YOU.

We encourage prospective members to attend events before joining, so they may gather an understanding of our mission and begin building a connection to the ACM. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and interests, all with unique stories to tell. Being an active member in The American Club of Madrid is a great way to meet and join in the common goal of sharing the best of what Spain and the United States have to offer, the best of both worlds.
