Meet the members of the Board of Directors!
Terrence HAMILTON. Born in New York City, Terrence has been living in Madrid for 3 years. He quickly became active in the American Club and has served as a volunteer, Vice President and is currently the President of the American Club. Terrence is the founder of Image Taker Studios, specializing in portrait and event photography for big companies as well as small brands and creatives. Ph.D. from Duke University, Former Consultant and Executive in I.T. and Business Consulting, Dean of Business and Law School and Vice Provost at Universidad Europea de Madrid, co-author of a book on Resilience. Member of the ACM Board of Directors since 2014. Garrett is from Santa Rosa, California, and has been in Madrid for nearly 9 years. He has been a member of the ACoM since 2018, and joined the BoD in April 2022. Having seen the growth of the ACM in the years leading up to the Covid pandemic, Garrett is enthusiastic about picking up where the previous Board left off, especially in growing the membership roll. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Joanne has lived in Madrid for almost 15 years. She joined ACM in 2019 and was a member of the Business Leads Group (until it paused last year). She is currently Vice President of the American Club. She is interested in growing corporate membership and all kinds of networking opportunities for members, in Madrid and other parts of Spain. Special events and fun things too.
Susana Gimeno is an expert in Business Communication via Social Media, and in organizing and managing events, and she is currently the ACM Board of Directors member in charge of those functions. She is part of the Management team of AMMDE, the Multisectorial Association of Women Managers and Entrepreneurs. For several years she has performed in entertainment venues with her own musical group, with music of various genres, and she is currently undertaking her own technology startup in the music sector, AYNI Music. Certified European Financial Advisor, who’d worked more than ten years in the traditional asset management industry, and then moved to Noesis Capital, a registered investment advisory firm based in Boca Raton, Florida, that offers comprehensive wealth management services to approximately 300 families and institutions in 33 different countries. Noesis Capital is an ACM Corporate Member, represented by Bruno who is also a member of the ACM Board of Directors, in charge of Corporate Membership. Bruno is currently Secretary General of the American Club of Madrid.
American who has lived in Spain since 1965. Worked for Humana Hospital, American Express, partner of Casa Decor. Board member of the Ronald McDonald House of Madrid, Ibiza Preservation Foundation, Regent of Spain for George Washington Ferry Farm Foundation. She’s been a member of the American Club of Madrid Board of Directors for over ten years.
