Discover Spanish Wines 🍷 Day 2 of MAWA's Wine Education Series

Join ACM, the Madrid Wine Academy (MAWA), and your neighborhood sommeiller Nacho for a 3-part wine education (and tasting!) series. You can join for 1, 2, or all 3 ... Perfect for Wednesdays evenings this summer (inside in the A/C)!

Here's the plan:

June 24 (Day 1) - Introduction to climate and main types of Spanish wines, including sparkling and fortified. Introduction to main grape varieties and the location of main producing regions. Tasting of 6 wines of different styles and regions that show what we have learned in the theory.

July 8 (Day 2) - Introduction to the three main Denominations of Origin in Spain: Rioja DOCa; Ribera del Duero DO; Priorat DOCa. Their growing environment, grape growing, style and regulations. Tasting of 2 wines of each region (6 total).

July 15 (Day 3) - Introduction to new, thriving Denominations of Origin in Spain: grapes, styles and geography. Tasting of 6 wines of different styles and regions that show the diversity of Spanish wines.

60€ per class or 150€ for all 3!
